A profile for everyone. A safe one for the kids.
A household has one license, one or more sources and up to six profiles. The source belongs to the home; everything personal belongs to the profile.
Admin
Sees everything and manages sources, profiles and kids profiles. Always has a PIN.
Standard
Sees everything except what the admin hides. Own favorites and preferences. A PIN is optional.
Kid
Only sees their own list of allowed channels. No PIN of their own; leaving takes a parent's PIN.
Your own favorites and start list
Every profile has its own "Favorites" list. It also sets channel numbers 1 to 99, in your order. All other channels get a fixed number from 100 up that doesn't shift when your provider changes its list.
Pick your profile and Kinlo plays your last-watched favorite right away. Channel up and down stay inside your favorites. One color button switches to a group, such as sports, or to all channels. Add a favorite with the red button, or many at once on your phone.
How the kids profile works
- Closed by default. A new kids profile sees nothing. You choose which channels go in.
- Quick to set up. On your phone, check channels a whole group at a time, with search.
- Templates. Save a selection, like "Morning" or "Weekend", and reuse it for each child. Kinlo doesn't ship selections of its own: we don't know which channels you have.
- No way around it. No search outside the list, no guide for other channels, no sources and no settings.
- Screen time and bedtime. A daily limit and a bedtime per child. A heads-up appears five minutes before, then a friendly end screen. Grant extra time for today from your phone.
- Provider changes. If an allowed channel disappears from your source, Kinlo never swaps in something else. You get a notification on your phone instead.
- PIN protection. Four digits. After five wrong attempts, entry locks for 15 minutes. An admin can always unlock from their phone.

Changes reach the TV within seconds. A TV that's switched off picks them up when it next starts.
Children's privacy
A kids profile only holds a chosen name and avatar. What a child watches, and for how long, stays on the TV and is never sent to our server. Kinlo has no ads, and never in kids profiles.
