Terms of use
Version 0.1 (draft) · last updated November 2026
1. What Kinlo is
Kinlo is software for playing media streams on a Samsung TV, with a web app for your phone. Kinlo does not provide channels, movies, series, subscriptions or any other content, and does not refer you to providers of such content.
2. Your source, your responsibility
You use Kinlo with a source you choose and obtain yourself. You are responsible for making sure you're allowed to use that source. You won't use Kinlo to play content you don't have the rights holder's permission for. Kinlo doesn't check the content of your source and can't: your details are encrypted and your stream doesn't pass through us.
3. Account and household
- You need an account to pair TVs and manage profiles. Keep access to your email and your recovery key safe.
- A license covers one household, up to five TVs. You may invite admins and members of your own household.
- Parents or guardians decide what a kids profile shows and are responsible for that choice.
4. Trial, price and payment
- A new household can use Kinlo free for 14 days with every feature.
- After that, a license is required: one-time (lifetime, for as long as Kinlo exists) or yearly. Current prices are on this website.
- A yearly license only renews if you choose that at checkout. You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current period.
- Right of withdrawal: consumers in the EU can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. If you start using the license right away, we'll ask you at checkout to explicitly agree to immediate delivery, after which the right of withdrawal no longer applies.
5. What's not allowed
- Using Kinlo in breach of the law or of other people's rights.
- Circumventing security, reverse engineering the app to bypass licensing, or overloading the service.
- Reselling licenses or sharing them outside your own household.
We may block an account in case of abuse.
6. Availability
We do our best to keep Kinlo working well, but can't guarantee it always works on every TV. Outages at your provider, on your network or on your TV are outside our control. The app keeps working with what's already on your TV, even if our server is briefly unreachable.
7. Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount you paid Kinlo in the twelve months before the damage, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. We are not liable for the content you play through your own source.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms. We'll tell you about important changes in advance. You can delete your account at any time; a paid license then ends.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live. Complaints? Email support@kinlo-tv.com.
